Li Chen, just a heads-up that to install the app in both the PFD and MFD bezels, you need to send 2 different invitations. When I tried to install it on the iPad in the second bezel, I got a message that the invitation had already been redeemed.

The above is wrong. Once you have used the link Li Chen sent you to instal both TestFlight and the NXI app in one go on one iPad, you cannot use the link to install them again on a second iPad, BUT if you download TestFlight directly on the second iPad from the Apple App Store, it will I automatically offer to download and install the NXi app on this second iPad.

So far, I love the beta! Have had a few crashes when I use the MFD and PFD together. For some reason the MFD likes to crash in mid-flight, and often continues to do so when I re-launch the app and connect with the PFD on my apple iPad Pro…but I let it sit for a few minutes, and it seems to work Ok after that.
A few nice features to add if you have time are:
-go around button interface for xplane; when you select to go around, the Nxi auto pilot keeps flying the approach but the g1000 on xplane goes around
-Some of the newer planes are equipped with electronic stability protection. Is it possible to work this into the Aux page on the MFD and the autopilot/FD interface?
Otherwise, I am grateful to try this out. My fellow G1000 pilots are envious!

Have been testing new NXI App over the past three days in various combinations either with just 1 iPad or both. Quite significant crashes at various stages of flight either on ground while programming Flight Plans and airborne also whilst using 2 ipads in my setup, Also with the same set up marrying the two together is achievable by going through a couple of swipes in both iPads between PFD AND MFD modes then everything seems to work fine. Altitude in altitude tape differs more than 1000ft with the sim altitude only when real weather is set but in clear skies setting altitudes match whatever the baro setting. Whilst in flight too only the MFD would crash once every ten to 20 minutes after an hour getting airborne in a 2-3hr flight. Restarts were quick and successful without losing saved flight plans, ncte active flight plans unsaved will be lost (found out only by just activating without storing it) more to comment on later.

I also sent Li the developer info on crashes etc and my thoughts on the use and performance of the “2in1” apps whether used in 2ipads or just one, with minimal crashes when using 1ipad and the other iPad used with Navigraph. But I pretty much think he’s getting crash data as it happens through TestFlight with both setups and anyone else who’s in the beta testing programme. I have been in flight over an hour now and no crashes whilst using just the left iPad, did notice while in gps mode but using simulator APilot there’s a .01nm deviation either left or fight off course per 5-6 seconds. But when I use the Simionic APilot it flies the gps track no problem and do notice the flight sim track deviates from course line by that same amount until I reach the next waypoint then it all ties up to match again. As with the original apps while flying using the app APilot there is a track hunting/chasing taking place until flying the desired track either in VOR OR GPS OR ILS modes.

Not a fault but a question. When using flight sim nxi gauges the course lines for navigation as depicted on their screens have a curved track prior to a waypoint so that the aircraft follows that track between that waypoint or fix towards the next waypoint or fix and not overfly that waypoint as opposed to the default G1000 apps or beta G1000NXI apps where tracks between waypoints are acutely angled and the aircraft overlies the waypoints. No real drama really as whichever APilot I use the performance between the two although not the same but similar is acceptable but was expecting the same visual track patterns (curved tracks)as depicted in the sim. A lot of the features though in your new apps are great to explore and test.

When do you expect this to be released to the rest of your customers as the new mainstream product? Another question… Is it currently possible, and/or will it be possible to run 2 PFD’s along with a 3rd MFD for a two seat, triple screen glass cockpit setup? I am also curious about why you integrated the two apps into a single application. What are the advantages? It seems that this might present a memory limitation, since both apps now have to share the same memory limit.

Is ADF source currently not supported on the NXi beta bearing indicators ? (Bearing 1, Bearing 2). When ai cycle through the sources ADF does not appear. It just cycles through Nav 1, Nav 2, GPS.

        Many thanks.
The NXi app is superb but unfortunately largely not useable for flight training without ADF because the approaches (UK at least) so often involve either an ADF hold or the ADF forms part of the missed approach procedure (even if it’s an RNP approach).

EDIT to EARLIER MESSAGE (April 20, 2024, Re; NXI release). I appear to be WRONG about this — that is, my questions about the new NXi version and use.

It appeared as being available on my App Store for my Mac — it DOES NOT list as being available when I check using my iPad App Store. Sorry for the confusion, and Li, please disregard my earlier post here and questions,
