Rubber buttons now

We have upgraded the buttons on our G1000 bezels and audio panels to rubber buttons which look and feel more closer to the real G1000 hardwares. Options for rubber and plastic buttons are available when making a purchase for the G1000 hardwares in our online shop. For those who has already bought 1 bezel with plastic buttons and wants 1 more bezel or an audio panel, you can choose plastic buttons. Otherwise we strongly recommend the rubber buttons. We are going to discontinue the plastic buttons eventually.

Wow, this is nice and unexpected! Would you consider selling retrofit kits of rubber buttons only? For those who already have everything with plastic… I would be really interested.

Hi Guillaume, those rubber buttons are for the new bezel which adapts 10.2-11″ iPads. Bezels for 9.7″ iPads use buttons with different hight so there is no way that the rubber buttons will fit the old bezels. Sorry.

What if we already have the new bezel that accommodates the 10.2”-11” and want to retrofit the rubber buttons for the plastic?

Indeed, replacing the plastic buttons with the rubber ones is doable. However, we are afraid that doing that may risk damaging the circuitboards or connectors inside the bezel if disassembling or assembling is not done properly. So we are not selling the rubber buttons separately for now.

What if we send the units back to you (in the original boxes) and pay you to do the retrofit of the new rubber buttons? I have the newer, larger Ipad Bezels (10.2- 11 inch) and the Audio Comm unit.

How much would it cost and how long would it take to get them back if I Fedex the units in their original boxes to you?

Hi Jonas, I replied your email. Sending all the units will cost too much. Basically, the shipping cost will be as much as twice of the shipping cost when you bought them.

Hi Li, thanks for your answer. Can you be more precise?

The buttons are significantly different in height. So there is no way that the 9.7″ bezel can use those rubber buttons for 10.2-11″ bezel.

I will make this available in our online shop in days since a lot of users asked. Currently we are making videos to demonstrate how to change the buttons so you will have a general idea of how it is done.

    Hello again Li,

I finally did the new rubber button install on my G1000 and audio panel units after purchasing them from your online store. It has already been said but I am also very happy with the new buttons. They definitely make the Simionics G1000 units have a more realistic feel when pushing the buttons now compared to the previous plastic buttons.

    You have great customer service.

    Thankyou

Also, fantastic video on the full panel. Is that something in the works too? I’d love to hear if it will be also on sale soon.

      Hi Alex,

We are working on the bezels. We are expecting them to be ready in a week. You’re added to the waiting list and will receive the notification email as soon as we have them. Currently the full panel is not officially on sale. We are trying to sort out a configuration and price list later.

    Hello Li,
I wonder how I can buy these buttons.I didn’t find the link.
Buy the way, It would be much more convenient if you didn’t use those buttons and could operate them directly on the IPad.

You can find the purchase links in our online shop. There are also built-in virtual bezels in the apps so you can use the apps without the hardware bezels.

Hello, I want to buy 2 sets of rubber buttons for 2 G1000’s and the audio panel (4 G1000 and 2 audio panels in total). The problem is that if I select 2 sets, shipping doubles and for such a small item, it does not make a lot of sense. Is it right this way or can you put all buttons on the same shipment?
    Thank you,
    Gabriel

Ya, it’s calculated automatically by the system. Let me know before you pay. I will deduct the extra shipping cost from the order.
