All our G1000 and G1000 NXi apps has just been revised to a new version. These updates solve the connection issues when running the apps on the latest iPad OS. Please also download the updated bridges which also solve similar issues of network connections. An important improvement in the apps is that the way of calculating magnetic variations has been improved. This solves many inaccuracies and deviations in following a GPS flight plan or approach.
Well, it’s already Chinese new year. We are having an 8-day holiday from Jan 28. Orders during the holiday will be sent from Feb 5 on a first come first go basis. We will continue serving you at our best effort in the new year, the year of snake!

Hi,
I have not used it for year. Now the bezzels are not connected to iPad and on the iPad the message this accesory may not be supported when I trying to connect it.
Hi Petr,
The USB port is for charging only. The bezel connects to the app via bluetooth. Please send me an email at lichenpo@hotmail.com with photos or details so I can have a better understanding of what’s happening.
Hello
I bought a new computer and downloaded a new xplain11 and ran my pfd and mfd as well but i can’t use the ipad app because the connection loss and connect are infinite in xplain11. Please help
Hi, please check whether there is any firewall blocking X-Plane from accessing the network.
Hello, several months ago I had reported ( many times) a problem with the NXI app wereby some airport maps do not appear in the PFD display no matter what I do with the settings or they don’t seem to be there. Several IOS versions have come and also many app upgrades but the problem is still there and I haven’t received any support so far. I find it very disappointing and since these are the airports where I normally fly I am afraid I will have to abandon ( much to my regret) the Simionic solution that I had trusted and in which I had invested. A real pity
Hi Sergio, I’m really sorry for the issue. However, I still cannot reproduce it on my side. I wish I could debug the program on your iPad. Anyway, I will keep trying. Thanks for your support!
Sergio, I have the same issue, and as you have, reported it many times. I’m not an iOS developer but there has to be a .log file of some type that developers use to de-bug apps. Doesn’t appear we will ever see this issue corrected.
Flying to KBOS and having an issue with navdata. Navigraph is showing 128.2 as Boston Center. NXi PFD comm 1 is displaying KDAW Approach. PFD app indicates navdata is latest version. What does Simionic use for navdata and how current is it?
Still having issues with taxiways not being drawn completely on MFD. Any progress fixing this?
Hi Richard, the issue of the frequency name is a limitation of the program. I will see how I can get that work better. No progress with the taxiways.
On the taxiway issue, I have seen that using the MFD range setting will redraw the taxiways. If taxiing at some point the taxiways will stop being drawn, they just end. If I range up or down the taxiway will be redrawn with more visible. This requires constant range changes. This might help point to the problem.
Thanks.
While waiting on a reply about navdata, here’s another question. XM weather and radar can be turned on from the MFD, but nothing happens. Is there a reason why those can be selected but nothing displayed on the screen?
Hi Richard, it’s just not implemented since I have no source of whether yet.
Ok, but how does the PFD display wind speed and direction if NXi has no weather source? I believe I read XP12 A330 (?) will get weather radar in a future update. I that what NXi is waiting for?
There datarefs for wind. That’s different from weather. But I will take a look of how to get weather since you mentioned others can do.
Two other questions.
Don’t recall where I saw this, either NXi app or plugin. The update references “ethernet support” but does not describe what this means. To my understanding the bezels connect by wifi. So what is ethernet support?
On the PFD there is a slide bar for Smoothing. I have this set to ON. The MFD also has this option. When I slide to ON I don’t see any difference in the MFD display. Still choppy redraw. Also, every time I launch the MFD the slider is set to OFF. Selecting this option doesn’t appear to be saved.
It’s the app which supports ethernet. Not for the bezel. The bezel connects the app via bluetooth which works pretty good. It’s for the connection between the apps and the flight simulator. Like a PC, it can connect to a network via either wifi or ethernet. IPads can also connect to ethernet using specific accessories. Basically, the smoothing option is only for PFD, but that will induce some latency in drawing. So, only turn it on when things like airspeed or attitude are too choppy. With ethernet connections the communications should be way better than wifi connections. The apps should run very smoothly without the smoothing option turned on in the apps. There is no such a setting of connecting through wifi or ethernet in the app. It’s decided by whether the iPad is connected to the network via wifi or ethernet.
Thank you. I understand the ethernet reference now. So to be clear, all I need is a USB to ethernet adapter for both iPads. Plug those into the USB port on the back of the bezel. Then in the iPad settings connect via ethernet instead of wifi, correct?
Any idea if the adapters also provide charging power for the iPad?
My simionic buttons don’t control my sim AP G1000.
I can change altitude and heading but can’t set Sqwauk codes or direct to on the sim. Do I need to map these some how or is the a limitation. Of the device.
Is it X-Plane or MSFS? Are you using our G1000 app or using the bezel to control the built-in G1000? Please send me an email with details. My email address is lichenpo@hotmail.com
Has anyone changed from wifi connection to ethernet when using the G1000 PFD and MFD bezels?
If yes, how did you do it?
– Did this provide smoother graphics on the PFD and MFD?
– What type of adapter did you use to go from RJ-45 ethernet to USB-A on the rear of the bezel?
– Did you use a Power Over Ethernet switch?
– How did you ensure you had iPad charging along with ethernet?
While this sounds like a good option, finding compatible adapters is frustrating.
